Adamawa State Government has broken silence over the long announced flyover projects in the state. The state government has today shone green light to embark on the long awaited infrastructural developmental project in Jimeta Local Government Area of the State.
The development was disclosed by the Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, Alh. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, who described the earlier romoured news that the planned flyovers would remain utopian projects, as handiwork of mischief makers, buffoons, who do not want to see the progress of the state in all ramifications.
It could be recalled that the Fintiri's administration announced its intension to abate infrastructural challenges to the minimum across the state about six months ago. Subsequently, this has given rise to doubt to the credibility of his ( governor) claim.
Alh. Adamu Atiku Abubakar, the Commissioner of Works and Energy Development, further added that the planned areas on the blueprint include Police roundabout, Mubi roundabout, Pz roundabout and Total. These areas are believed to face worse congestion than any other area in the metropolis.
He also confirmed to the DAILYSTORIESUPDATE that the move to secure 17billion naira loan was part of the committed effort to ensure the success of the flyover projects. He enjoined the citizens of the state to sustain faith in their experienced style of government.
As of the time of interview, it was gathered that Adamawa State House of Assembly (ADHA) has put pen to paper in the affirmative to the governor's 17billion naira loan request from the financial market. The funds are to partly be used for the erecting of flyover bridges.
